The latest generation of the 2-series BMW has been on the market for several months now. Nevertheless, the building series itself exists way longer. Since 2013, the 2-series BMW acts as successor of the compact 1-series of the popular Bavarian automotive manufacturer. The 2-series BMW had their first facelift with the models F22, F23, F44, and F84 (internal denomination). The second generation (2022) now offers sportier versions such as the 2-series Coupé 220d or the more powerful M240i with all-wheel-drive (xDrive).
Compared to the latest 1-series BMW model (F40), the 2-series BMW is longer and broader. Moreover, the 2-series design has a more agile and aggressive character compared to the traditional design of the 1-series BMW. The M240i is equipped with an in-line-six-cylinder, whereas most 1-series BMW get along with their less powerful in-line four- or six-cylinder-engines.
Mesmerizing colors such as Thundernight Metallic (as portrayed on the vehicle photos), Portimao Blue and Melbourne Red, together with the chrome-plated kidney surround give the new 2-series BMW a distinctive look. However, less striking colors also convince on the latest 2-series Coupé: Within its LED headlights, the manufacturer BMW focuses on Bi-LED technology. Here, low and high beam are combined in one light tube.
The new 2-series Coupés with the internal denomination “G42” are also available as M Performance Coupé. The 2-series models are available as gasoline or diesel vehicles. Depending on the model, the car comes with up to 245 HP. They offer with rear-axle drive and an in-line four-cylinder engine. The model shown in the pictures is a BMW 220d with 190 HP in the special color Thundernight Metallic. The M Performance Coupés, however, focus on sportiness thanks to their 3,0 liter in-line six-cylinder engine with 374 HP and maximum torque of 500 Nm.
We offer KW V1, V2, and V3 coilover kits for BMW 2-series models. We are long-standing premium manufacturers for coilovers. In our product range, we offer various coilover solutions for different models of all automotive brands.
For the new BMW of the 2-series, the coilover setup is already very stiff ex-works. Moreover, test drivers state that the car understeers more easily when driving curves in a fast pace. This causes instability and harm the subjective security feeling of the driver. To ensure stability and driving comfort, our three different coilover kits might be a solution.
Our KW V1 coilover kit is the entry-level product for our customers. It enables more lowering than a serial sports coilover and has proven KW technology inside. Despite lowering, our KW V1 offers a higher residual driving comfort than with the serial coilover kit.
The V2 and KW V3 also allow individual lowering. This way, lowering of the car according to the desires of the customer and the technical circumstances is possible. The driver can decide on his own, how his car reacts during long bumps. For a more comfortable driving behavior, the driver opens the rebound. Additionally, the KW V3 enables compression adjustment in the lowspeed range. With opening the compression valve a more precise and faster feedback when steering is enabled.
