KW power in the new 4-series BMW (2020)

We now offer to equip your new 4-series BMW with KW V1, V2, and V3 coilovers: Our suspension solutions are available for various models within the new 4-series BMW lineup

The second generation of the 4-series models brings a variety of upgrades, including a larger, forward-slanting BMW kidney grille and a significantly wider stance. Originally scheduled to debut at the 2020 NAIAS Autoshow in Detroit, the event had to adapt to the prevailing COVID-19 situation and opted for an online event instead.

The first 4-series BMW was introduced in 2013. Unlike the 3-series BMW, the new 4-series models have an increased width and a longer wheelbase. Even to this day, the 4-series BMW maintains a sleek and low center of gravity. With a wider wheelbase, enhanced front axle camber, and a sturdier construction, they offer improved driving tranquility, comfort, and safety, even at high speeds and on rough roads. All the latest BMW models are offered in both gasoline and diesel variants.

The 4-series Coupe

The 420i Coupe (G22) represents the entry-level model in BMW's latest 4-series lineup. It made its debut in November 2020, with an impressive power output of up to 286 PS. Just a few months down the line, in July 2021, the all-wheel-drive variant (xDrive) of the G22 was introduced. Designed with a specific focus on young individuals and couples seeking a sleek and compact ride, this BMW model is for those who prioritize style over abundant space. However, for those desiring a more generous interior, the Gran Coupe (G26) is the preferred choice.

Introducing the Gran Coupe (G26) for those seeking a larger size option

The larger variant of the Coupe comes with a sport leather steering wheel and sport seats. Unlike its counterpart, the Coupe (G22), the hatchback sedan offers four doors and provides significantly more space than its sibling models. As a result, the BMW 4-series Gran Coupe effortlessly combines practicality with sportiness, allowing for everyday convenience without compromising on style.

Open roof and free ride ahead with the 4-series convertible

Just in time for the spring season of 2021, BMW presented its highly anticipated 4-series convertible (G23). Like the other new 4-series models from BMW, this convertible variant is equipped with a four-cylinder engine. However, there is a notable difference between the new G23 and its predecessor: the G23 features a fabric top instead of the previously used metal folding roof. This design choice not only reduces weight but also enhances the car's aerodynamics. Plus, the fabric top operates smoothly, closing the roof within 18 seconds. When the top is closed, the G23 offers a generous trunk capacity of approximately 385 liters, which decreases to around 300 liters when the top is open.

KW coilover kits for the new 4-series models

We provide a wide selection of coilover kits for all the mentioned BMW models. Whether you have the Convertible, Coupe, or Gran Coupe, you can enhance your driving experience and give your car a sportier appearance with our KW V1, V2, and V3 coilovers. These coilovers are available for all models with and without electric damper control.

If you have the AWD Coupe or Convertible, you can adjust the height of your vehicle between 30 to 50 millimeters at both the front and rear axles. On the other hand, the RWD Gran Coupe and its AWD version allow for a continuous lowering of 40 to 60 millimeters.

To opt for a sportier look, the 4-series BMW can be lowered from 30 to 50 or 40 to 60 millimeters depending on the variant

Overview: KW V1, V2, and V3

The KW V1 is our entry-level model and comes with a pre-adjusted damper setup specifically adjusted for your 4-series BMW. It offers height-adjustability, enabling your BMW to achieve a sportier appearance. Furthermore, the lowering results in a reduced center of gravity, enhancing its stability on the road. When you decide on the V1, your car acquires a spirited driving experience without compromising its everyday practicality.

Our KW V2 coilovers offer maximum lowering capability. Additionally, the V2 comes with a pre-adjusted damper setup, while providing you with the flexibility to adjust lowspeed rebound (TVR-A). Rebound directly affects the speed with which the damper deflects. For those seeking enhanced comfort, simply open the rebound valves. On the other hand, for individuals desiring a more sporty driving experience, closing the valve is the way to go.

With its wide range of adjustment options and everyday usability, the KW V3 became our top-selling product. In addition to its continuous lowering feature, the V3 coilover kit offers adjustability in lowspeed compression and rebound once installed. By adjusting the compression settings, you can control the speed at which the piston deflects in the damper. Depending on the chosen compression setup, the driving characteristics can become either stiffer (with a closed compression valve) or softer (with an opened compression valve).

All our KW Suspensions coilover kits are accompanied by TÜV documents, which is particularly important for German buyers. Our product range extends beyond suspension solutions for BMW, encompassing numerous other popular vehicle brands as well.
