Stepless lowering

Composite spring discs
We manufacture our spring plates from a friction-optimised composite material with a stainless steel insert. This prevents oxidation between the strut thread and the adjustable spring plate, as occurs with aluminium spring plates, for example.
Trapezoidal thread
The KW suspension struts have a dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread. It makes it easy to adjust the lowering and is extremely low-maintenance. Thanks to its large cross-sectional area, it has a very high load-bearing capacity.
Inox-Line
Unlike many of our competitors, we have been manufacturing our KW coilover struts from a high-quality stainless steel alloy for decades. This high corrosion resistance enables stepless lowering - even after many years.

Compression adjustment
The compression damping ensures that your car is neither damped too much nor too little. The adjustable compression damping gives you control over how quickly and how much a wheel compresses in the event of a bump. This allows you to further fine-tune our pre-set suspension setup for your car to suit your individual driving experience. With our KW Coilover suspensions, you only use the compression damping to adjust the compression valve.
Rebound adjustment
The adjustable rebound damping allows you to influence the rebound. It controls how the spring returns to its original starting position after a bump. Do you want your car to turn in even more directly or would you like a little more ride comfort when travelling slowly? This is exactly what you tune the handling behaviour of your car to with the rebound damping. Completely independent of the compression damping. With our KW Coilover suspensions, the damper setting is always separate between the compression and rebound stages.

Separate compression adjustment in high speed and low speed
Don't compromise on performance and be completely free with your suspension set-up. You can intuitively adjust pretty much everything relating to riding dynamics in just a few simple steps. This gives you even more performance options to perfectly match the handling and ride behaviour to the tyres, body stiffness and, above all, your riding style. The adjustable compression damping also allows you to control the compression of your car. Many record-breaking cars on the Nürburgring Nordschleife use this KW technology.
Separate high-speed and low-speed rebound adjustment
You have even more control and more influence on the handling as well as the reaction of your car during load changes with a rebound stage that can be adjusted separately in the high-speed and low-speed forces. This technology even improves the driving dynamics of super sports cars and is based on all our innovative KW Racing technologies. What an adjustable rebound stage does is quickly explained. It controls the rebound and you can adjust this intuitively during setup. Many test winners and lap record vehicles on the Nürburgring Nordschleife are equipped with this KW technology.
Unibal support bearings
Our weather-resistant and low-wear KW support bearings have high-quality Unibal joints that further improve the handling of your car. Depending on the vehicle, the camber angle can be adjusted for maximum tyre contact area on track days. Even with maximum lowering, you can further optimise the suspension geometry by adjusting the camber. Tip: Only use increased camber values for trackdays, as tyre wear can increase in everyday use.
Can I adjust my suspension myself or do I need special tools?
Most modern coilover suspensions can be adjusted in just a few simple steps by hand (e.g., fine-tuning using compression and rebound adjustment wheels). However, you can only adjust the lowering using a suitable hook wrench to do so.
What is the purpose of the height adjustment feature in KW coilover suspensions?
Our coilover kits feature a thread on the strut that enables you to adjust the vehicle height continuously. This enables you to customize the appearance, center of gravity and handling of your vehicle. Lowering the vehicle height can improve cornering stability and looks more aggressive.
What is the benefit of adjustable damping in a coilover suspension?
Adjustable damping enables you to customize your car's response to the road. Rebound adjustment influences how quickly the suspension extends after hitting a bump, while compression adjustment controls the suspension's reaction when the wheel moves upwards.
