Suspension set-up at the highest technological level
7-Post Test Rig
As a leading manufacturer of innovative suspension technologies for sporty road vehicles and motorsport, we offer our customers exclusive use of our state-of-the-art 7-post driving dynamics test bench. This enables precise tuning of springs, dampers and other components that influence vertical dynamics.
No wear and tear on the vehicle
There are no operating hours on the vehicle and racing car; neither tires, brakes, bodywork nor engine wear out.
No track hire
Neither a driver nor a track need to be booked for the tests and test drives. Everything happens directly on site at our development center.
Consistent external conditions
No wind, weather, traffic, or road conditions will influence results. Designed for every element.
50 - 100 measurements per day
A day on the vehicle dynamics test bench is much more effective for analysing data than a day of testing on a racetrack. We can also concentrate specifically on individual parameters and track sectors.
Direct optimization of various parameters
We analyze longitudinal and lateral forces, vertical forces, wheel loads, spring rates, damper characteristics, tire forces, tire torques, and much more on the test bench and optimize them directly on the vehicle.
Testing of non-roadworthy vehicles
As the vehicle does not have to be ready to drive for our tests on the vehicle dynamics test bench, we can also carry out the corresponding tests during the construction phase or the development phase of the racing vehicle, for example.
General conditions
Costs
Depending on the 4-post, 6-post or 7-post and the amount of work involved, we have different daily rates, all of which are cheaper than a pure track hire.
Requirements for track replay
To perform a 7-post with track replay, we need track data and aeromaps as well as brackets to connect the racing car to the three other actuators for the inertia and downforce.
Service
Our test bench engineers look after your technicians and engineers directly on site. There is also a lifting platform in the test bench building if more extensive modifications to the vehicle are required.
Scope
While a 4-post sweep can be analyzed and coordinated within one day, 6- and 7-post appointments without a set-up day take at least two working days.
4-Post
The 4-post sweep analyzes the vehicle's resonance frequencies in order to keep the vehicle stable at high speeds and on difficult routes.
4-Post with Aero
With the 4-Post Aero Sweep, we take into account constant aerodynamic forces caused by airflow and air resistance, especially at higher speeds.
7-Post
In addition to the operation of the four-wheel stamps, inertia, and output forces are introduced directly into the vehicle structure by three further actuators. The actuators are controlled via a drive file generated by route iteration from real route data and an aero map. The test results are analyzed both globally and sector by sector to enable a detailed evaluation of the vehicle dynamics.
Infrastructure and requirements
In addition to the test bench, a workshop including a 2-post lift is available. Testing facilities are also available on damper testing systems from API Dyno (crank drive), Roehrig (electromagnetic linear drive) and Schenk (servo-hydraulic). The test stand and workshop are located in a separate building. Loading and unloading are possible within the building (max. transporter height 3.2 metres). Electronic locking system with access authorization.
