The factory suspension
Despite the excellence of the 991, the driving dynamics of selected Porsche 911 991 models can suffer. The vehicles are well-designed for everyday usability and offer a lot of body roll and comfort-oriented damping at the limits of cornering. Those who want precision, flawless driving dynamics, and a lowered Porsche 911 will benefit from a high-quality KW upgrade.

How can I adjust my Porsche suspension?
Ideally, one of our certified KW automotive specialist dealers will adjust your coilover suspension. You can find a partner near you using the dealer search. Each coilover suspension also comes with precise adjustment instructions for your vehicle model. This should make adjusting your Porsche suspension a breeze.
Is the Porsche 991 a naturally aspirated car?
The 991 was available with naturally aspirated engines until the 2015 model year, for example, the Carrera or Carrera S with a 3.4- or 3.8-liter displacement. With the 2015 model update, Porsche introduced turbocharged engines to the standard Carrera models. The last 911 with a naturally aspirated engine was the 991.1 Carrera GTS, built until 2015. Apart from GT models, such as the GT3 or GT3 RS, which still rely on high-revving, naturally aspirated engines, the 991.1 Carrera GTS was the last 911 model to feature a naturally aspirated engine.
What is the ground clearance of the Porsche 991?
The standard ground clearance is approximately 4.3 inches (110 mm). For vehicles with coilover suspension or lowering, such as those with KW coilovers, the clearance can be significantly lower. To make the vehicle more suitable for everyday use, we recommend installing a Porsche lift system, such as the KW HLS, which can lift the vehicle by up to 45 mm at the touch of a button.
Can I lower my Porsche 991?
Yes. Depending on the model variant, you can lower your Porsche 991 by several millimeters with our suspension products. For the Carrera 2/2S/GTS and Targa 4/4S, with or without PDCC, stepless lowering of 25–50 mm is possible at the front and rear. For the Turbo and Turbo S variants with and without PDCC, lowering of 20 to 45 mm is possible on the front axle and 15 to 40 mm on the rear.
