Driving dynamics in perfection: balanced on the road with Porsche 997 coilovers
The Porsche 997 has the potential to inspire genuine driving passion, but its standard suspension cannot always fully realize this potential. If you don't just want to drive your 911 but want to experience it, you require an individually tuned damper setup. Porsche 997 coilovers by KW get noticeably more out of it: more precise handling, more stability in fast corners, and a driving experience that exactly matches your demands - whether on the road, track, or both. Don't just drive a Porsche. Drive your Porsche.
Problems with the series version
The 997 is considered a milestone in Porsche history within the 911 series - a puristic, agile, and emotional vehicle. A true Porsche 911 that thrills in every corner. However, the limits of the stock suspension become apparent when driving in a very sporty manner or on uneven roads. This can lead to spongy handling and a lack of subjective driving safety at high speeds.
Function & quality from KW
Despite sporty looks and more driving dynamics, everyday life with a lowered Porsche 911 (997) can be a challenge. This is where our Hydraulic Lift System (HLS) comes in. It combines the performance of the suspension with a hydraulic lift that raises the vehicle by up to 45 mm at the touch of a button. This means your Porsche no longer gets stuck on steep driveways or kerbs.

Individual lowering
This coilover suspension offers you the maximum technically possible lowering - individually adapted to your vehicle model. Can also be changed at any time after installation.
Composite spring seat
The height-adjustable KW spring plate is made of a resistant and friction-optimized polyamide composite material with a stainless steel insert. In contrast to anodized aluminum adjustable spring plates, the polyamide composite prevents possible oxidation.
Hydraulic Lift System
With the KW hydraulic lift system (HLS for short), the body can be raised at the push of a button for more ground clearance, even while driving. Obstacles such as speed bumps or steep parking garage ramps can be easily overcome thanks to HLS from KW.
Additional technologies
Which suspension is the best upgrade for the Porsche 911 (997)?
That depends on the intended use of the 997. Those who mainly drive on the road will benefit from the KW V1 entry-level suspension or our bestseller KW V3. Those who let the tyres glow on the track at the weekend are at the right address with the Clubsport products. Maximum flexibility is available with the KW DDC ECU and our hydraulic lift system (HLS).
Is lowering possible with the Porsche 997 suspension?
Yes, with KW, your Porsche 997 can be lowered individually and steplessly. Depending on the product variant, you also benefit from significantly sportier driving dynamics and a visually appealing vehicle height, without neglecting everyday usability.
What's the difference between the V3 and the V3 Clubsport?
The main difference lies in the field of application: the KW V3 is made for sporty and performance-oriented drives on public roads. The KW V3 Clubsport was developed for ambitious drivers with a trackday focus. This suspension focuses more on its motorsports components, and the damper setup is even more sporty. Uniball top mounts are also available.
Can I combine the Porsche 997 suspension from KW with PASM?
Our KW coilovers usually replace the standard PASM system. A direct combination is technically not possible. However, if you want adaptive damping, the KW DDC ECU is the perfect alternative: it offers electronic damper adjustment with several modes, comparable to PASM.
