For the latest Smart model #1 (NX 11) we offer the KW V3 coilover suspension. The Smart 1 suspension from KW Suspensions scores with its sporty damper setup despite sufficient residual comfort. This Smart #1 accessory successfully combines pleasant driving characteristics with sufficient body control. By the way: The model brother, the Smart #3 HC 11, can also be equipped with KW V3 coilovers.

Problems with the series version
The standard Smart coilover suspension offers a high level of ride comfort without neglecting sportiness. However, rapid load changes can lead to the rear end breaking away. In addition, the car tends to lean sideways when changing bends. Both aspects have a significant influence on driving safety.

This coilover suspension offers you the maximum technically possible lowering - individually adapted to your vehicle model. Can also be changed at any time after installation.
Adjustable rebound (Lowspeed)
You'll feel the difference with every click! Here you can adjust the rebound (low speed) with a total of 16 clicks. This makes the riding characteristics either harder or more comfortable.
Adjustable compression (Lowspeed)
Fine-tune the compression damping (low speed) even after installation. Vehicle handling and stability benefit from 12 clicks.

Lowered Smart #1: Individual height adjustment
A wide range of lowering options with the KW V3 coilover suspension. If you want to lower the Smart #1, you have 35 to 50 millimeters of leeway on the front axle. The rear axle has 35 to 55 millimeters. Lowering the suspension lowers the vehicle's center of gravity. As a result, it sits better on the road. The driving dynamics benefit.
If the shoe fits, wear it! The KW V3 for the #3
We can also offer the KW V3 for the big model brother of the #1, the Smart #3 (HC 11). The #3 is slightly larger and sportier. It also has more range than the #1. This could be due to its more efficient aerodynamics. Our KW V3 coilover suspension provides even more performance and agile driving in the Smart #3.

Improve the range of your Smart with KW suspension
According to the manufacturer, the #1 has a range of between 400 and 440 kilometers. Now we know from reality that this can vary depending on driving conditions and driving style. According to the German institution ADAC, the Smart #1 only has a range of 365 kilometers. With the KW V3, it is even possible to increase the electric range: Thanks to lowering, the result is better aerodynamics, lower rolling resistance, and more stability.
