A new generation of adaptive KW DDC Coilover suspension kit: The electronically controlled suspension improves ride comfort and driving dynamics of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 (Type 463A)
We developed a new KW DDC Coilover suspension kit for the current Mercedes-AMG G 63 (Type 463A). With the new adaptive DDC plug&play Coilover suspension kit, we use use our latest solid piston technology with valves separated from the damper working piston tube, as with KW Variant 5.
KW utilizes two electronically controlled proportional damper valves in the KW DDC plug&play Coilover suspension kit for the AMG G 63. Thanks to the adaptive KW dampers, the 585 hp off-road vehicle benefits from significantly more direct road holding and improved handling. As a portion of the parts approval, the Coilover suspension kit allows a stepless variable lowering of up to 30 millimeters on both driven axles.
The KW DDC Coilover suspension is recognized by the on-board electronics and the adaptive damping system has three modes: "Comfort, Sport and Sport+". Which can be selected from the cockpit via Dynamic Select and give the G 63 AMG a completely different character. In "Comfort" mode, long motorway journeys are much more relaxed. While in "Sport+" mode the 2.5-tonner becomes much more agile and circles through tight bends with ease. Depending on the respective setting, the Mercedes-AMG drives in a sporty, harmonious or comfortable manner - even with a maximum payload. At the same time, the off-road vehicle always remains safely controllable with the typical pitching and rolling movements of a high body are significantly reduced.

In addition to the adaptive KW DDC plug&play coilover suspension for the Mercedes-AMG G 63 (Type 463A), a height-adjustable spring set is also offered as an alternative by KW automotive. With the springs in combination with the standard suspension a stepless lowering of 0 - 20 mm can be adjusted on both axles.
