California Dreaming in the VW ID Buzz with KW V3 coilover kit and BBS CI-R Unlimited wheelset
Meet the brand-new VW ID Buzz! An electric VW bus that surely gives you that classic “Bulli” feeling already at first sight. The ID Buzz runs solely on electricity with powerful 204 HP (105 kilowatts) and a rear-axle drive.
The Buzz electric car has a range of 423 kilometers on a single battery charge according to WLTP. It also comes with a helpful feature called “plug & charge” that identifies compatible charging stations and calculates the necessary charging times and spots during route planning.
When driving in mode “D”, the car moves without resistance when removing gas. In the mode “B”, the car slows down as soon as you take your foot off the acceleration. This mode helps saving wheel brakes and recovers energy. Using mode “D” can increase the car’s range while mode “B” helps to extend the life of the brakes.
A must-have for KW
After the electric VW bus entered the market in October 2022, we, KW Suspensions and BBS, bought an ID Buzz and enhanced it using our products. Our V3 coilover kit and a BBS CI-R Unlimited wheelset upgrade the VW ID Buzz.
The V3 coilover kit is our most popular coilover kit. It is the perfect product for those that look for a sporty allrounder in everyday life. The V3 coilover kit is part of the “Street Performance” product line and is separately adjustable in compression and rebound. The V3 also enables a continuous lowering of 24 to 45 millimeters at the front axle and 15 to 35 millimeters at the rear axle. Our experienced KW engineers gave the feedback that the V3 enables a more precise steering behavior and that the handling and braking improved.
BBS Unlimited for the Buzz
Our brand, BBS, has equipped the electric VW ID Buzz with our latest innovation – the BBS Unlimited wheel system. For this project, we chose the CI-R Unlimited model in the striking indigo blue and 21 inches in size. The BBS Unlimited wheel system is a game-changer in the wheel market thanks to its never-ending customization options. Customers can select a wheel with the fitting rim width, offset, and concavity and customize it to their needs. The result is a truly unique and personalized wheel that perfectly matches the customer's design ideas. Moreover, the BBS Unlimited wheel system is highly versatile. Once the customer has customized their wheelset, they can reuse it on any other vehicle with five bolts, providing an exceptional level of flexibility. In summary, the BBS Unlimited wheel system is a revolutionary new product that provides unparalleled levels of individualization and versatility.
We’d like to stand out
Without a doubt, the VW ID Buzz catches the attention right away. However, the KW automotive Group wanted to go one step further. That’s why we adorned the VW bus with a vibrant and lively flower power design that’s sure to turn heads. The VW “Bulli” stands for the iconic and colorful era of flower power, which is why we wanted to pay homage to it with our eye-catching design. You will also spot the KW automotive brands prominently featured on the vehicle wrap.
Sustainable mobility at the top
With the VW ID Buzz, Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge committed to sustainability not only through e-mobility but also in the design of the ID Buzz. The interior of the vehicle has parts made from recycled materials, including fabrics crafted from marine plastic (10 %) and recycled PET bottles (90%). In addition, the manufacturing process for the E-Bulli eliminated the use of animal materials. This is the reason why a polyurethane steering wheel rim was used.
