Golf 8 GTI suspension: Stepless lowering with many different products from KW suspensions
With suspension solutions from KW, the Golf 8 GTI and the Golf 8 GTI Clubsport can be continuously lowered. On top of that, depending on the product variant, the damper setup can be individually adjusted in compression and/or rebound. For the Golf 8 GTI (Clubsport), we even offer KW Clubsport suspensions from our Track Performance product line.

Problems with the standard suspension
VW models are developed with highly innovative driving dynamics. A new VW Golf 8 GTI or a GTI Clubsport has precise and dynamic driving characteristics with modern technology ex works. Selected models come with VW's own DCC adaptive chassis control. This allows a choice between comfortable and sporty driving. Regardless of this, traction can quickly be lost if the accelerator pedal is pressed too hard.
Function & quality from KW
The KW V1 offers a fixed damper characteristic curve. This is tuned for performance and driving pleasure from the moment of delivery. Compared to the standard suspension, it ensures direct handling and a fuller driving experience. The driving comfort in daily use is not neglected. The lowering can be adjusted individually and continuously at any time.

Individual lowering
This coilover suspension offers you the maximum technically possible lowering - individually adapted to your vehicle model. Can also be changed at any time after installation.
Adjustable compression (Lowspeed)
Fine-tune the compression damping (low speed) even after installation. Vehicle handling and stability benefit from 12 clicks.
Adjustable compression (Highspeed)
Fine-tune the high-speed compression damping even after installation. Vehicle handling and stability benefit from up to 15 clicks.
Adjustable rebound (Lowspeed)
You'll feel the difference with every click! Here you can adjust the rebound (low speed) with a total of 16 clicks. This makes the riding characteristics either harder or more comfortable.
Unibal top mount
Depending on the vehicle type, the aluminum Unibal top mounts have a scalable camber setting and can be optionally adjusted in the caster. This allows the camber angle to be adjusted so that maximum tire contact area is achieved when cornering and handling becomes even more direct.

Stepless lowering
The range of lowering depends on which product the driver chooses. If it is a coilover suspension from our Street Performance line, the Golf 8 GTI allows a lowering of 20 to 45 millimeters per axle. The same applies to the KW DDC. Those who prefer a KW V3 Clubsport or V4 Clubsport in their Golf 8 GTI can rely on a lowering range of 25 to 40 millimeters.
Integration of retrofit suspensions
All our coilover suspensions are easy to install. The KW DDC plug & play suspension is compatible with the VS DCC suspension control system. The KW adaptive dampers are controlled via the VW on-board electronics. We recommend having our products installed by certified specialist dealers.
