KW Solid Piston technology for more sensitive damping

For coilover suspensions with a displacement piston design (Solid Piston), we use a valve arrangement that is separate from the damper inner tube and piston rod. This gives the customer the following advantages:

More sensitive, high-frequency damping
Cavitation-free function of the dampers
Lowest hysteresis

Adjusting the shock setup

After installation, you can adjust the compression and rebound individually with 13 clicks each in the low-speed and high-speed range. Thanks to our Solid Piston technology, a larger force range can be covered in the characteristic curve design. The result: significantly more harmonious damping.

The compression damping is adjustable with 18 clicks in low speed and 18 clicks in high speed. The compression stage is already ideally set upon delivery.

The blow-off characteristic ensures optimum support for the vehicle body and guarantees a constant connection to the road.

The high-speed rebound stage influences how quickly the suspension spring relaxes back to its initial position.

Depending on the vehicle type, aluminum Unibal support bearings have a scalable camber adjustment and are optionally adjustable in caster.
