Hypercar dampers at the cutting edge of technology

The KW VX Racing is adjustable in compression and rebound up to ten times. It is individually customized according to customer requirements and tailored to the respective vehicle and area of application. This includes Le Mans hypercars such as the Lamborghini SC63. KW VX Racing dampers can be configured in various ways: as conventional damper systems, roll and heave dampers, or through-rod variants.

Position-dependent damping

In the third element, the so-called heave damper, the damper characteristic curve can be specifically designed over the stroke curve. For example, a low damping level can be used in the first part of the spring travel, which is specifically increased from a predefined transition point. This results in a stroke-dependent damping characteristic. The exact damping level before and after the transition point can be set individually in each case.

The KW VX Racing is an up to 10-way adjustable damper system, which can be precisely adjusted with up to 18 clicks and thus allows a characteristic curve design.

One advantage of the through-rod design is that there is no throttle extension force and therefore no change in ride height due to temperature fluctuations, which is particularly advantageous for vehicles with very high downforce.
